Can I get that Mochi stuff at the asian market too? My favorite breakfast, if I have time, is Snoqualmie Falls oatmeal(made so it gets that mound of bubbles while it's cooking-what we call the cloak of goodness) with soymilk, almond butter, brown sugar, flax oil or flax seed and bananas added after the cooking part. Yum, maybe as good as your mochi!

My favorite breakfast is oatmeal with a couple tablespoons of pumpkin, a dash of cinnamon, and a bit of organic brown sugar. If I'm feeling anemic, I'll put a bit of blackstrap molasses in it.

My favorite breakfast is cooked, large oats with a pat of butter, Bragg liquid soy, and a poached egg on top. For lunch or dinner, I stir in some chopped greens (kale, spinach, etc.). It's delish - and not SWEET (we north americans tend to eat too much sweet stuff for breakfast).

My favorite breakfast is gingerbread oatmeal with apples, pecans and yogurt on top. Just add some molasses and ginger to your oatmeal as it cooks. I like it spicy. Can't wait to try mochi!

Great episode! My favorite breakfast food is omelette with onions, swiss cheese, ornamental kale, truffled ham, ground pepper, and tabasco sauce.

Thank you so much for this Mochi video! My Aikido teacher sent me this video that I thought might be of interest for mochi lovers. It is a traditional New Years treat in Japan. Linda

My 2 year old daughter and I watched this video before making our own. We went into the kitchen, popped the Mochica into the oven, and next thing I know she is stretching on the ground with her feet in the air. Then, biting into the finished product she says, 'come here little sizzler!'. I was in fits laughing. Thanks for great recipes and great fun.

My favorite breakfast food? Pancakes. Pecan pancakes, to be specific. Dripping with melted butter and real maple syrup. Heaven!

Food Chums: GREAT site. Thanks for all the work. Any chance there will signs of 'evolution' on the part of the male 'doofus' characters ? Makes for some 'funny' bits, but not consistent with what I experience as a dad in 2011. Best to all, Bowen

I love you guys and have been mooching your great recipes off the web for years. Just donated $125. Cheap for what I've gotten from this site. How much would you pay for the definitive tahini recipe or the quinoa salad? Really? Come on, dig deep.
